Running and Stem stitch
There are many enbroidery stitches but we need to learn the basic ones.
1.Running stitch
2.Chain stitch
3.Button hole
4.Laisy daisy
5.Herring bones
6.Knot stitch
7.Fish bone
8.Ribbon work
9.Mirror work
10.Straight stitch
11.Stem stitch
12.Satin stitch
These are some basic stitches.
1. RUNNING STITCH
The thread should come in equal intervals by taking the needle up and down on the path.
Design
You can choose any design to make this stitch.Here is an example.
2. STEM STITCH
Stem stitch can be worked in two ways.But we need to know the basic one only.
The needle is bought from the back side to the front side.Work from left to right.
Inset at some distance and exit a half stitch length back.Keep the length of the stitches equal.
Completed embroidery looks like a thin line on the front side ,whereas back side will look like back stitch.
